Numero Uno

College! I never thought I'd start a blog but it seems like a really efficient way to let everyone know what I'm up to (at least what I want you to know) and also preserve my experiences for reflection in the future. So far I’ve gotten through Welcome Week + the first week of actual classes without really any bumps along the way. At the moment, I‘m enjoying a delicious bowl of Ramen (16 cents at Walmart) like any normal college student. I’ve got a fair amount of chem and bio fun to get too but hey friends first yes? Admittedly I was pretty apprehensive about college, making friends and all that jazz but everything seemed to work out. My roommates are really chill guys, fun to hang around. Phil is from Klamath Falls, Oregon. He plays ice hockey (<-- insta cool points) and enjoys sleeping. Daniel (Dan) is from Dallas, Texas. He did crew in high school and worked as a personal trainer. Both really easy to get along with. Welcome Week was filled with a ton of activities designed to get us to know each other. Many of which were silly but hey it was good to get out there and meet people. It’s always nice to randomly see people you know when you’re walking to class and be able to smile and wave :) Yea that sounds weird but if you’ll figure out what I mean. There’s too many events to describe so I’ll just shoot through the cast list (ie: people I hang out with/people you are likely to hear about) and maybe throw in an exciting event.

Pranay is a fellow California homie who somehow ended up on my floor. He’s from Fremont. *pauses for Ravi to shout “Fremont!”* He’s about my height but he played volleyball for Washington High School, intense I know.

Mallory is from Ohio (totally blanking on the city, dumb me I know). She is absolutely obsessed with the Sims, not very different from what Starcraft is to me, and also likes photography which is awesome.

Arvind is from Denver, Colorado. He’s very Ravi like in the sense that he insisted he talk to my mom… wtf I know. Ravi, your legacy lives on. He speaks pretty flawless Tamil. Pranay, Arvind, and Pranay’s roomie, Krishi (<-- another norcal person) have started this thing where they talk to each other in Indian languages either Telegu or Tamil.

That seems to be the main crew. Other cast members will be introduced as needed. Time to actually start studying now.
